"Laboratory" exhibition in NYC June 20-23, 2012

Intriguing juxtaposition or pretentious clap-trap? Natural allies or alien nations? Whatever your views, science and art are being linked together more and more often by the intelligentia (and funding bodies).

Winkel & Balktick are a pair of New York-based "creative directors and event producers" who are organizing a big arts "event" June 20-23, 2012 at a former pharmaceutical factory in north Brooklyn. The event is titled "Laboratory" and all events (concerts, parties, sculpture, media, video & light art, large sculpture, performance & interactive environments) "should fit within the theme of science, laboratories, technology, etc."

Sounds like an entertaining event for anybody, but might be of particular interest to LabLit types. I suspect few, if any, of the exhibitors & performers will be scientists, so this event might be as much about how the general public views science as it is about how science really is.

That sounds interesting. I wonder how much of the original fixtures are still in place? Could be an atmospheric venue.
Bollocks. I was so excited about showing off my lipid-based prowess I failed to notice that Chall was talking about Dick.
